spilk - human, homelabber, and tiling enthusiast

SYNOPSIS

spilk [--deploy service] [--debug-rack] [--cook]

DESCRIPTION

spilk works in the world of infrastructure, datacenters, and cloud environments. Instead of building apps, he builds the world they live in. He is a firm believer in the "Self-Hosted" philosophy, preferring to run his own stack rather than relying on "someone else's computer."

When not managing racks or virtualized clusters, spilk can be found experimenting in the kitchen, fixing broken hardware, or maintaining open-source services for his friends and family. This blog serves as a repository for documentation and lessons learned.

OPTIONS
-i, --infrastructure

Professional experience in datacenter operations and cloud architecture.

-d, --docker

Containerizing everything. If it can be dockerized, it will be. Used extensively for family-shared services.

-s, --self-hosted

Deploying and managing open-source alternatives (Nextcloud, Vaultwarden, Media Servers, etc).

-h, --homelab

Tinkering with physical hardware, networking, and high-availability clusters in a home environment.

HISTORY

Released into the industry in the early 2010s. Has since evolved from consumer-grade routers to enterprise-grade server racks and complex cloud nodes.
